feels like fall

We in the Anderas house love fall - mostly because of the changing weather and beauty of the autumnal season - but also because it tends to mark the beginning of new things...especially if you live on the school schedule, which we do ;-)

Some new things happening in our household these days include:
1. Mary Clare regularly sleeping through the night (!!!!!)
2. Phil having officially begun the PhD. His classes include German, a patristics (this is an adjective referring to the dudes who helped start the Catholic Church) class on Alexandrian theology, and a philosophy class on Plotinus and early Christian Neoplatonism. Please don't ask me to explain what early Christian Neoplatonism is, okay?
3. I've just joined a women's bible study and fellowship group at a local church since we are, for the time being, commuting to Kenosha, WI for church and eucharistic fellowship on Sundays.
4. Friendships in our neighborhood and Milwaukee area: I have been particularly blessed to meet some other stay-at-home moms in and around our block in addition to some very dear old people who Mary Clare and I visit regularly.
5. Phil will be ordained a deacon in just 3 days!
6. At the end of the month, we will be starting a mid-week prayer fellowship in our home with other Anglicans in the Milwaukee area - more to come on that later...

That's all I can think of for now - it's time to go outside and enjoy some of the remaining warm weather while we can...some of the leaves are already changing colors in our neighborhood!
